Do I have WIN 2000 or above for my Digital camera?

I have a Kodak EasyShare C533 Digital Camera, and I have Windows ME on my computer. The record says I have to have WIN2000 or higher, and the computer does not recognize the device. Could you possibly download a program that would recognize the camera? Please help!

Yes and No. If the Kodak software application that has Windows 2000 or higher, then definitely it means. However, there are other options. Technically, any computer running Windows 98 or later must be able to connect to the camera, if you connect the camera and turn it on before booting the computer. That's the theory. In practice, sometimes the camera is not recognized by Win 98 expecially usually because the operating system does not have a driver for it. If this happens, you can also consider getting a card reader that works with Windows 98 or later. Again, the trick is to connect to a USB port before starting the computer unless running Windows XP that can be detected immediately. If the card reader comes with an installation CD from the CD and provide the necessary driver. If not come with a CD and not work, download the driver from the website of the manufacturer, and install it. Once done you can download the images from the card. I hope that helps a little. Good lucky!
