Those familiar with the computer, projectors and switch configurations, you can answer a question for me?

Ok – speaking from a rookie here, I hope someone can help me out. I work in a church – we have a projector and screen used to project videos and photos from the computer, as well as live camera's pastor when speaking. We have a switch to toggle between the two. Recently we lost the signal in a place between the switch and the projector, and tried everything to get it back. The projector has a remote control that we use on and off (as it is mounted on the roof) … and clicking the "DVI-D (HDCP)" button, the return signal. I remember before having the switch and before you start using the camera, computer was connected directly to the interface of the projector and used the "Team 1" input on the remote control. I think that's what it was when we had no signal. When using a switch, you have to use the "DVI-D input? And can someone explain what "DVI-D (HDCP)" mean? I have curiosity.

If the projector has separate DVI-D and video inputs, you can connect it directly to the PC (DVI port) and the camera (in the port video). Use the remote control to select either input. If using a switch, which has two inputs and one output. Assuming that the two inputs are the PC and video camera, the output is connected to a projector entries. The projector must be in this ALL the time input. You can change the inputs, with the switch.
