What is the best Digital Camera for recording video?
I'm ready to buy a digital camera, but I want to an opinion of the masses. Here's the scenario … I ride a sport bike and I plan to mount a digital / video camera to my bike while I ride. The duration the video should be longer than 30 seconds. I also want a good image quality capability as well. I hope not to spend over $ 275. Any suggestions?
If you buy a digital camera that also records 'video' … then make sure you have a resolution of at least 640×480 at 30fps … and audio recording. Canon is a very good brand that has high quality video. The latest of 1 GB can record at a time (about 8 minutes) … and others have no limitation except for the memory card being used (up to 4 GB). Obviously Digital Cameras can not compete with dedicated Video Cameras (handycams) for video quality … so keep that in mind. Frankly, I do not know how a digital camera is responsible for the "harsh treatment" while connected to a sport bike, but good luck anyway.
