I try a pair of video sunglasses to work with a Mini DV Camcorder.?
I know the basics of wiring mini camera, I need to know is, what kind of plug that I need to plug into the back of my camcorder? and is the dv port labeled the same as firewire? is possible to enter a Video Camcorder from another source? THANKS
Do not want the "video sunglasses" to display the video so you can see? Since I do not know what camera you use, do not know what plug you need. Normally, the AV output port is proprietary, but the other end male uses RCA cable (yellow video, red-right audio, white left audio). If you want the "video sunglasses" for a camera, you need be sure that the AV-AV port can actually do-in. Most video Cameras do not. The same AV port is used, only a menu option to be V-in. Remember, most Video Cameras do not have this feature – the Sony DCR-HC96 has. If the DV-4 pin connector on a video camera is a port firewire/IEEE1394/i.LINK -. As indicated above, with video that comes from another source is possible, but depends on the camcorder. Connecting Dv Camera DV port will not work – a unless another camcorder or FireWire device with some intelligence … and you are dubbing a copy of the FireWire cable from tape to tape.
