Underwater Video Camera
video camera under the water help?
I'm looking for a video camera underwater and preferably something that goes over 10 feet underwater. I've heard of the Sanyo but e1 is only 5 feet, but is that a Good Camera in general? and if there are other Good Video Camera underwater?
The Cameras are designed for immersion (when they say "5" Pies, you are basically saying, swimming but not diving) are never the best cameras around. Sanyo offers the video quality at best average. Another Panasonic SDR-SW20 is similar: 5-foot operation, and moderate in the best video quality standard definition. On the other hand, you're only spending $ 350 … You can not expect a miracle. The other option, of course, to include a camera existing video. If you do not have any, this will certainly increase the cost, maybe a little. Some time ago, I have a lower cost box to my Sony AVR-H1 high definition Camcorder. This is EWA Marine, and is basically a plastic bag with a $ 200 lens window. This worked very well, is supposed to be good for up to an atmosphere (33 feet in salt water). It is a bit cumbersome, and there is still some reluctance to put their $ 2000 + camcorder in a plastic bag, even an expensive one. But one case difficult for my Small Video Camera (Canon HV10) ran $ 700, and for Sony, at least $ 1000. If you are supported this way, even might consider pricing the first case, then buying the camcorder to adjust. Another option … are smaller cameras cheaper to include, as might be expected. While a site difficult for me Sony could reach thousands, cases of Digital cameras much cheaper to run, many under $ 200 that are filled enclosures right under the water … good for 100 feet or more. From almost any Digital Camera has a video mode certainly as good as these "Waterproof" camera, I would consider that. In fact, my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 probably has a video so much better … 1280×720 at 30p it is reasonably clear video (not HDV, but good enough). That's a $ 300 camera, and you need an enclosure that is about $ 220 for it, but then you have 130 feet or more to play. I really do not know much about audio regardless, so the poor microphone as most P & S cameras is not a problem.
