How to know if a lens will work with your camera?
I have a Canon Rebel XT. I am in need of glasses, but I'm not sure if sometimes a lens will be compatible with or not unless it is an objective of the Canon brand. The reason I ask is because I am thinking of buying off-brand lens (Sigma, Tamron, etc) because they are cheaper. How do you know what will work and what is not? I need a goal now. As much as I like to wait and save, I have no time.
You are always better to buy the best glass you can. So save your money and buy Canon lenses for Canon. After the target market makers specifies that the lens of the camera is set to buy a Canon EOS mount.
