How I can increase the security of my wireless network?

I have an existing wireless router is listed as no security. My old neighbors networks with household name and "security enabled." How I can turn mine into a secure network without having to change existing connections and their use?

Wireless Router configuration: In the browser address bar, type 192.168.xx (look in the user manual for exact address for the address management interface) and find the Security settings (or similar): Set to WPA (or WPA2 if support teams this level) and AES;. (Use WEP as a last resort: the apprentice work to end Off.) In addition, Turn Off SSID broadcast: UPnP and QoS (Unless you use VoIP or gaming), Activate, manage user name and password bulletproof router (not the same as the password to access the Internet, which would be the PSK (pre-shared key)) .. PSK should be more than 7 characters, letters and numbers (mixed), the words do not notice. # Put this on tape and put on top the router: easy access to the Mac address filtering to prevent parasites, but it will not deter hackers committed. Mac addresses are on the front of the packages, therefore unencrypted and easily copy and use the packages of "parody" that allow a "man in between" the attacks. You may also want to set (in 'connections') and 'always on' to prevent disconnects when there is no activity or Internet. Computer Configuration: If you are using Windows to configure the wifi, go to Control Panel> Wireless Network Connection Wireless Networking> tab, here you will need to identify all the wifi networks in your system "sees" for your own (or preferred) network, highlight, then 'up' to the top of the list, then go to 'Advanced' button, check the single access points "and uncheck" Automatically connect to> non-preferred networks' close> OK
