How do I get my computer to capture audio from a video camera?
So basically, I got this Camcorder Canon for a few years. It does not use tape, but with the help of cables, you can connect to the computer and put the videos on it. However, when I go to create a "movie videos on my computer, none of them have audio. It is important audio too, but I submit the same cables and camera in TV and audio works. My computer is on and it works, but it just will not understand what people are saying on the tape. My father bought a cable that I can set the normal red, yellow, and white in the son (as on the back of TV) and I only have one white and yellow to communicate these. Do I need another cable to plug into the USB port instead? If so, where can I get one that hangs in my camera in particular? It's a Canon ES75. Other ideas? HELP!

It is analog – there is no cable or USB port that connects to … Based on your description, it seems that you understand how to connect the AV cable supplied with the camcorder to a map Capture on your computer … and I think the audio is not making it past the capture card. Since everything works fine (video and audio) when you connect to a TV, so I guess you already know that you plug the camera in the same way that the capture card. This tells me that the port audio capture card is somehow disabled. Since I do not know what capture card, it will be difficult to troubleshoot … then … if you've already checked all the settings in Control Panel audio – and they are set at an intermediate level and uncut for audio-in and audio capture card-in is active, switches to obtain audio and video into your computer. The best way to do is get an external analog / Digital bridge. I suspect that your computer does not have firewire – and USB only.
