SONY HVR Z5U, Panasonic DVX 102 or Sony FX1000? WHICH IS BETTER THE BEST QUALITY CAM GENERAL?
I'm trying to find a decent professional camera. I've been looking for more than a few Cameras and am considering the following: Sony HVR Z5U (£ 3279.98) Panasonic DVX 102 (£ 1679.99), Sony HDR FX1 (£ 2679.99) this video makes the HDR FX1000 and HVR Z5U look really good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mZ7SLAZRVE and this is the kind of quality i would like to produce my music videos in: http://vimeo.com/ 4424503 (Shot on DVX 100) with everything he said. I get the best value for my money and also get the best quality. i do not use the camera I myself at first, I will hire a professional and then learn in the hotel. I wish to write and direct my own short films, documentaries, music videos, etc. all to the HD spec. I am confused about what the camera is best for what I want. Can anyone help me? thnx too, FINAL CUT PRO is the best editing suite Mac Book Pro?
All four cameras are good list. Are reduced to their needs. Personally, I probably would stay out of range Panasonic AG-DVX. Video Cameras are GREAT – but they are standard definition, but only have I / D-in XLR audio. If high-definition Panasonic interests you, then the AG-HVX200 is the check – but that uses P2 cards (but not anemic AVCHD). You can also record Digital video to miniDV tape. The following is the Sony HDR-FX1. I owns one and I love it. Sony no longer makes them, but if you can find one, are a good solid camera – but it is a "prosumer" – and has an audio 3.5 mm jack. You can use an XLR adapter (juicedLink, BeachTek – among others) to get XLR inputs. The Sony HDR-FX1 replaces FX1000. This is an awesome video camera – But as with the FX1 has a 3.5 mm audio jack. You can use an XLR adapter (juicedLink, BeachTek – among others) for the XLR inputs. If you need XLR inputs then check the Sony HVR-Z1. He is the brother towards the FX1 and FX1000. The HVR-Z5 is the only one on your list that is HDV and professional level (with XLR inputs). The HVR-Z1, HVR-Z5 and AG-HVX200 should be your short list if you want to have a real teaching pro. FinalCutPro is comparable with the best – some say the Adobe suite is very good too. I prefer FCP. A MacBook Pro will be "OK" for editing. But it is a laptop and subject to the laptops have issues. You will be able to import the video very well, but the representation fades, titles and everything that requires the use of rendering (including pushing out the final product details) be long. If you can afford a MacPro tower and moitor good (as an Apple Cinema monitor) for video editing – a MacBook for portability, it will be much better. and that reminds me – P2 cards used by the AG-HVX200 fit in a PCMCIA card slot – do not think the MacBook Pro has a – import only if you go firewire that path. I suggest you reduce our investigation to the FX1000 (+ XLR adapter), and Z1U Z5U:. Do not forget fluid head tripod (Bogen Manfrotto, Libec) of high capacity of the optional rechargeable battery (Sony) video light (NRG Research, Bescor) shotgun microphone (Sennheiser, Audio Technica) microphone Stereo (Audio Techica, Shure) lavalieres wireless (Sennheiser, Sony Professional) – 2 cases (Pelican 1500 or 1600) There are more, but this is a good start. I wish somebody had given me such a list … And if you have more $, take the Camera Crane – Kessler Crane Systems tripod. I like a lot mine.
