What would a Good Video Camera / video camera for my purposes?
I want to produce some video blogs part of a local campaign for social justice. They will go on YouTube, but I want to appear professional. There will be two of us working on the project – I speaks to the camera, and one with the camera. Some work will be inside, some less out places, and there will be a third person interviews. I expect to pay at least £ 800, but ideally not much more than £ 1,200. I hope there's something in that Price range that would serve the purpose. I think the camera would have to work other accessories (not included in previous budget) as an external microphone and headphones (to ensure quality control and audio), and a tripod. Any advice welcome here. Please assume I know nothing. I know I have much to learn, but the project will proceed in any event.
Think something like a Canon HF10 and HF11, Panasonic SD100 or Sony HDC-SR12. All these models are HD, but I will give, while also providing great wuality microphone inputs, headphone output and plenty of scope to shape your video that can then be uploaded to YouTube or whatever. Is a free site in the UK dedicated to Reviews of the camera and the board and I find their forums to be particularly useful.
