What Microsoft software recognizes the non Panasonic SDR-S150 as a webcam?
When you are connected to the computer in recording, the SDR-S150 is detected by XP as a USB "Video Device" and a "USB Audio Device" … It is also Because of the webcam in the driver installation bubble status. When the software works like Skype, however, the device is not detected as a device video valid, rather than the manual says only MSN Messenger / Windows Messenger is compatible with this device. Does Microsoft just make a shady deal with Panasonic? Why webcam not work in general? Has anyone made a driver / utility that fixed? (A Guy Called "Sektionschef" is a utility that corrects video-download/convert aspect ratio and converts them to MPEG-2, so there are people out there * to work on this stuff).
Microsoft and Panasonic are partners, now. Most panasonic webcams are able to work on Windows through MSN Messenger. Hacked Google search and support forum does not give results for any other IM client that recognize the SDR-S150. It is always a way, but I did not find … I'll keep looking, though.
