4.43 PAL to NTSC Digital video conversion – how to reduce motion judder (flash) on the camera in motion?
We have triggered a series of television around the DV PAL (600 minutes of programming) and the need to convert it to NTSC 4.43, followed by output (MPEG-2 encrypted) DVDs. Most (if not all) of the moving camera shots (the pan / tilt, etc.) resulted in a very worrying shake / strobe / Vibration. 1. Is there a good software and hardware solutions out there that can help us? 2. Could convert to NTSC Digibeta downstepping first and then to help DV? We are a production unit based in India. Any helpful response would be greatly appreciated!
I'll try. I think you are describing artifacts compression. Maybe you can try a small section of the video and try to convert non-compression video. I usually use simple programs to converison this as TMPGEnc. They are free and flexible (if you know how to write scripts and configuration).
