Olympus waterproof, shockproof Cameras: good buy or not?

I know Olympus has 2 models for shock and water resistant. 1) Stylus 1030. He has a body very hard and good image. Resistant shocks up to 6.6 feet and waterproof to 33 feet and also freeze proof. 2) Stylus 1050. It will replace the Stylus 1030 and that cost a little more. 1050 not difficult but always in search of the body doing the same job. Shockproof only 5 feet and waterproof to 10 feet.
