The Nikon is a good entry-level point and shoot still camera that happens to take highly compressed video. You get what you pay. If you really want or need "Sound quality" as you say, the small microphone do what you want. And if you're planning to capture audio strong, lack manual audio controls will result in muddy, useless audio. There are Cameras for many reasons, which are designed to capture video, have microphone jacks and manual audio controls and a lot of specific capture video … and generally do a poor job of taking still images (where would a Good Camera work).
