I need a Good Camera for photographing miniature figures …?
I started to build and paint small dioramas & such, but the camera I do not understand the details very well … What should I look for in a camera? I need a good resolution for details, I must consider in more megapixels? Zoom, macro capability? I know very little about such things, please help me! I just need some advice about what features to look for.
Kodak EasyShare Z981 Recommend 14MP Digital Camera with 26x Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilization Zoom and 3.0 inch LCD, I was making the around trying to decide between the P100 and another Nikon Olympus. I was even considering going DSLR but frankly I do not need another hobby expensive. Let me say that the Z981 is awesome and gives better results than expected. I like to think I'm very hard on electronics and I will not keep something if I have problems with it. In fact, I'm on my 3rd 2010 TV right now due to various problems I had with them. Anyway, we're talking about the camera: The images have beautiful color. The zoom is amazing and the image stabilization is exceptional. I hand extremely fragile and it corrects it for me without any problems. The video quality is fabulous too, but that be my only complaint … The autofocus motor and motorized zoom can be heard quite well if you're in a normal environment. I'm not home the points for this camera because it is not a Video Camera. It's a mega zoom camera and he does very well on. I heard complaints about the battery, but I do not really have problems with it at all. It's certainly a tight fit but it's frustrating to not fit all. The camera can be a bit slow processing between shots, but if you get a faster card SDHC time is greatly reduced and a joy to work with. The prize can not be touched for what you get here and I would have gladly paid the full amount of 329 after using this unit for a week. Kodak uses file format. KDC for raw materials, and unfortunately I can not find a good windows plugin, so I am forced to use the software Easyshare for RAW images. It's not a big deal for me because the JPG detail is simply incredible. Photos 14MP occurs around 7.5MB compared to 25 MB for the former. I do not see how you can dispute the quality of photos this camera takes amazing photo and functionality. Even at full zoom you can crop an image without losing any (visible) detail. I can not say enough, this camera is incredibly perfect for someone who wants to take great photos without going with a Digital Camera from $ 800. I'd be very curious to see side by side Comparison shots with an entry level DSLR for intermediate compared to this camera because I do not get much better. I'll post pictures later user.
