Wireless network and wireless Cameras?
I have 2 laptops that were connected wirelessly to my router (Linksys WRT54G). I just added two wireless Video Cameras to my house to help catch a thief in the area. Both the router and the cameras are in the 2.4 GHz and the cameras are the cancellation of the router. I tried to change the channel on the router and change the channel on the cameras, but nothing seems to work. As soon as you disconnect cameras wireless internet back up. Connect the cameras and wham, no more internet (or network). Are there alternatives wiring or chambers or on the web?? Thanks.
Most wireless cameras use a very broad signal for transmission of video sound. About all what you can do if the cameras allow to be put on channel 1 and the router, 11 (U.S. channels) is likely to be far enough apart to work together. If you use channel 1 and 2 of the cameras will kill the network. If you can only connect the camera to the router? . If you have pure video cameras you have a problem totally different than you really want to network cameras that have just become part of the computer network and access them like any other team in the system .. not interfere.
