DSLR What should I buy?

I'll get my first DSLR soon (I've been doing photography for a long time Canon point and shoot) and I'm having a dilemma over what the Camera you should get. At first, I was sure that the D3000 is perfect for me. Then I saw all the photos large DeviantArt.com taken with the camera like the Canon Rebel XTi, and that made me think if I wanted to or not. I can get a used rebel KEH.com by $ 379, which is definitely in my Price range. Any suggestions? I really want quality, but I think it is important to learn the picture before going crazy with the quality. I was just trying to avoid having to upgrade my camera in the near future. Thanks!

I can not talk about the D3000, but I have an XTi. I love it! I decided to enter the world of Digital SLR a year ago and after fiddling through Reviews and sample images online I went with the XTi (this was when the XS and XSi were new). When it comes to dSLRs, it's really about you as the photographer and the lens used. Quality of the lenses will even more than the body (to a point, of course). I would definitely suggest learning about photography! I mean, the best way to learn is to a camera and experiment! Take lots of pictures! That's a great thing about the digital age, there is no film to waste. Apart from the reality of shooting, I suggest you look up definitions for the opening, Shutter speed, exposure, ISO, and things along that line. Will be of great assistance and help you understand how to get the "quality" the image of one. Good luck!
