Once again, a 35 Mm film SLR?
Partly because of Photography I, and partly because I have been suffering from a camera to take pictures during the summer. I have a Canon AE-1 on eBay. It's a very solid camera, except after an inspection had cough or Canon Shutter squeak or whatever and foam mirror was an oily mess. So I returned it. Now I am ready to try again. I'm a fan of the old dinosaurs, fully manual and I am especially interested in testing a Minolta or Pentax, but if there is a better brand, I sent my way. I expect a lot of DOF preview. Without a budget, it is difficult to give a precise answer. Since you mentioned I will say Pentax Pentax Spotmatic. A true and wonderful classic camera, and not much else expensive than the Canon AE-1. Well as through a note .. Canon cough is not a major problem and light boards are easy to change yourself. It is not always easy buy a camera of this period without any replacement light seals yourself, pay someone to do it, or pay extra for eBay (or wherever) to buy a camera with new light seals. I can replace the light seals on me all the houses I buy. I bought a kit of all sizes and types of foam, adhesive and remover, a cutter assembly and a cutting board, and have a lot of satisfaction to do the same stamps. You should give it a try, it is very difficult ..
