What kind of film (Hi8, Digital8, Video8) can be read on the camcorder itself?
I used to have several old Sony Camcorders, and now I have a collection of bands that are Video 8, Hi8, Digital 8 and. I want to buy a camcorder old, and was told there are over-there that are able to play two types of videos, but I'm not sure. Hi8 camcorders do play both Hi8 and Video 8 or is it that Digital 8 Hi8 camcorders also play?
hello has the same challenge, began using 8mm basic Sanyo years ago and later made for Sony DCR-TRV355E Digital 8 Mini DV after trying ect. Basically, it plays everthing and using its FireWire / USB / video in & out / s-video …. so you get the idea, I can convert all my old tapes to DVD easily …. you can get one on ebay very cheaply. Quality is the DVD standard. Older camcorders will not play the Digital 8, but more recently newer cams should play everything. Video 8 was a bit like the Beta and War VHS – video 8 lost to Hi8 and 8 digital and believe it or not bog standard 8mm -. Can not understand that you want an old Camera he pants by compared to the newer digital channels -. 8 Also when working for cable TV in the States we have always used Digital 8-not sure if it's because it's better than even the new formats, or just habit?
