combination with the same brand HDV – V1 and PD 170 or Canon XL-2 with Sony PD 170.
I would go with the same brand, if I were you that the images from Canon and Sony may look very different. I use the Sony HDV-V1 here for a while .. I usually use Canon and JVC Cameras, and DV images of the V1 is very similar to the sequence of PD-170, although some hand better, I think. For two cams match you need similar features with light and color and the two Sonys are your best bet. You will notice Unlike the XL2 in the mix I think. Remember .. it also depends exactly what you're shooting and you need a difference between two angles too. Best of luck
