Well I want to Buy A Video Camera, but do not know anything about them?
Can anyone give me a basic run down on the different types that is, what to look for, and what you think is the best type to go? We are expecting our first small to capture all the special moments and I look for that is something that will not date as soon as I take it out the door … Thanks heaps!

Buy something that fits your future needs. The format I would recommend going to be miniDV, as it is still the most popular today. The DVD is expensive to buy the media, poor quality and if it fails to end lose all the contents of the disc. The hard disk format is expensive and created for editing directly on the equipment. In my humble opinion, I prefer Sony, Canon, Panasonic and JVC, finally, in this order of preference.
