The third photo shows a cross-over, if you were holding the two connectors with the locking clip to the same way. With the clip away from one end you should have a orange wire on pin 2 (second from left) and the other should have a green wire in 2. A straight cable connected properly have orange in both the 2. Also, most (not all) bought crossover cables or crossover have crossed into the sleeve marked at intervals now.
