how to play tapes recorded on digital video camera on a video hello 8?
I recorded tapes on a Digital Camcorder that no longer works (sony trv330) and I bought a Sony trv138 Hi8 is. The tapes I made on the Camcorder Digital does not play on the new, I think it is analog. Ironically, I had an old RCA and the bands that I recorded on that play on the new! Is there a way to solve this problem without having to buy yet another camcorder?
You're right, the Hi8 is analog and unfortunately there is no easy solution to your problem. While Digital-8 Camcorders were designed to play tapes Hi8, the reverse is not true. My suggestion is to take your tapes to a company that can transfer your images to Hi8, knowing that you will lose digital quality. Of course, it depends on how many tapes or pictures you shot on the Digital-8. If you have enough to be worthwhile, you can get the Sony DCR-TRV280 for anywhere between $ 200 and $ 300. Good luck!
