Advice on Digital Video Camera and photo?

I want to buy a digital camera photos, but I want to have a good quality video, up to now I've learned that the Lumix is good, if albeit expensive, but I just do not want to spend money without knowing if the camera has good video quality really can not afford a video camera, any suggestions?

In at least 10 to 30 times a day, someone and ask: "What is a Good Camera to buy? "A quick search would have given hundreds of instant answers (without having to wait for the answers), but here it is again my 10 cents on the topic: The point and shoot Cameras are wonderfully useful because of its size really small. When light conditions are ideal, even making nice photos – all of them do -. However, all have limitations that do well in low light situations (noisy photo is to say, hard to avoid the lack of definition etc.) CODEC bit Flash is very hard at a short distance and not get very far. Many of them have no manual functions, so you are limited to very basic photos only, not can compensate for unusual situations, or do many fun "tricks" and special effects. P & S also have shutterlag frustrating and many of them chew through batteries rather quickly. About your video requirements – Can not wait for the camera a little to do very well with both – they simply do not. Never. Although the idea of "good" may be different from mine. Need or compromise or buy a dedicated camera and a Camcorder. If you're OK with all the limitations, then go ahead and pick one, most of them (same type and same Price range) are quite similar. Personally I would choose either a Canon or Nikon one, and certainly stay away from Kodak. Higher end P & S will give you more manual options and better quality. Many of those who even give you the option of adding a proper flash (which makes a big difference to flash your photos). – Do not worry too much about all the cameras megapixels modern have more than enough, plus there is a limit to the number of pixels that can crush a small sensor P & S before they actually lose quality rather than winning. Do not worry about digital zoom, in fact, not using it. Simply crop away pixels, ie, destroy the information. The only real zoom Optical. Some words special effect on features such as accent color, or even just b / w or sepia About applying any kind of effect on Camera: Imagine IT! NOT if you just happened to take the best photo ever taken – probably would be at its best, right? NOT ALWAYS put your camera larger, better quality (and color). In this way, we start with the best shot possible to the original. Then make a copy and edit the content of heart. You have better control over any editing on your computer, even something as simple as B & W will look much better when processed correctly in place of a camera. You can do all sorts of things besides getting to keep the original. Decide what features are important to you, and look for cameras that have that feature. Then go Compare some models www.Dpreview.com. The best thing you can do for your success is to borrow some books and learn about photography. A little knowledge will make a much greater difference to the photos of your choice of P & S camera can -. What is worth being in the market for a P & S camera now, my choice would be a Canon Powershot SX20 IS http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act = ModelInfoAct and fcategoryid = 144 and model = 19208
