Can I buy movies for the old 35mm cameras?
I am looking for a vintage camera (like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=230305821794) because they are cool and I like to try film. The 35mm film that you can buy in stores good for these old machines? When the film selected, you can use slide or negative, or it depends on the camera?
Yes, you can still get a 35mm film almost anywhere, including in Walmart. Any 35mm Camera with at least some control of exposure can be used for slides and film negatives and B & W (negative) film. Although these are fun little cameras, I offer the following caveat, however: 1. These cameras are half-frame, which means that the negative aspects they produce are half the size of the normal size of 24mm x 36mm-24mm 18mm x cameras produce these effects. The image quality is significantly lower using the standard full-frame 35mm Cameras. 2. The half-frame cameras are so unusual, minilab your average supermarket pharmacy / will not normally able to print correctly. They can develop the film very well, but you'll probably end up with two pictures on a print, or perhaps even other arrangements strange. You'll probably need to use a custom lab for printing or professional, which can be very expensive. 3. The meter on this camera probably will not work, that this type of meter it is rare after this many years. I'm not too familiar with this particular device, but the counter may be related to exposure, which, if so, a bad meter means that the camera can never function correctly. In short, I think if you want to play with a 35 mm film, you can do much better for the same or less money. Look for an old rangefinder as a Canonet or Yashica Lynx 14. Moreover, even an old Canon SLR FTh as would be great.
