Canon 400D with external flash Minolta 360px?
I am very happy with my 400D. I try to use a non-digital old flash (Minolta 360px) on the Camera. Anyone have any suggestions on how to configure the camera and flash? The XTi manual (page 152 in the manual of Canada) said it is possible to synchronize non-Canon flash units at 1 / 200 or slower. I put the camera in Tv mode at 1 / 200, but I do not know what to put the flash Minolta. It is obtained several ways: TTL (not working at all) M (sort of works') and 3 levels of the automobile. PLUS it has dials and scales of film speed, distance, flash coverage, Apeture – Wow, someone has suggestions on what settings need to be on camera and flash?
The camera does not work with TTL flash (little tin pins on the flash does not correspond with the connections of the camera) You can use the flash to M (manual), but yiou'll to play with your settings to get a decent pic. Auto modes are for when you are primarily Av Set your aperture to one of the colors on the table (depent on ISO setting too). TV and leave alone. Flash must adapt at Av (make sure the automatic mode is set to Av same setting via a color code and graphics) and you should do better. It will not be perfect, because your car with sensor sensor not flash the cameras flash exposure is correct.
