Filters for extensions of the camera?
My husband says I should buy filters for the camera that fits in the camera lens. But I want a telephoto lens extension. If the filters go to the extension or before the camera?
Filters are always on the far side of the camera lens. So light passes through the filter before the lens element. Always need a UV haze or skylight 1A filter on the lens. These do not greatly effect the image. The most important they do is protect the lens from damage. Better a $ 15 scratch a lens filter for $ 700. Apart from that most people have a polarizer in the collection. For Digital AF want a circular polarizer. I like the system COKIN effects filters, but not many good filters out there
