I want to implement a network security system at home, any suggestions?
I would install up to four Cameras connected to my home network. Has anyone put together a monitoring system cheap DIY in their homes? What did you done? – A few details: I want to be able to record up to 24 hours of mid to high-quality color video. – I wish the motion detection to trigger recording and send an e-mail alert -. I have a few spare computers I can devote to monitoring and recording -. Wireless would be great, but I can easily manage my own Ethernet cable, RCA cables or -. The sound is not necessary -. I can set up complex systems without any problem if it saves some money because they do not receive a fancy all-inclusive monitoring system. – The ability to view remote cameras would be -. I currently have a Linksys Wireless-N Router.
