All major brands Digital Cameras that have a date function that I have seen put the date in the lower right corner of the image. Unfortunately, the creation of the camera to do this is often a matter of creating the menu on the camera. Most cameras take deep in rechargeable batteries, but came equipped with disposable AA or AAA cells. I used rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) AA in three different Digital Cameras for about five years, and I'm happy with saving. I would recommend against getting a camera with a rechargeable lithium ion.
