Do you need a firewire port to upload Video Camcorder?
I'm thinking of getting a Digital camcorder, and I would like to edit video on my PC, but I have a firewire port (or any free slots for a firewire port.) Is there another way to upload videos from a Camera to a PC?
If you have no open slots or a FireWire port, you must update the existing ports HiSpeed USB (2.0) or (ideally) FireWire 800 or FireWire any other port will be difficult or impossible to work with. USB (1.0 and 2.0) can be used in some cases but, although USB 2.0 is fast information is sent through "packets" or pulses that doesn't work well for video.
